Idil Kem, y. mimar - sanatçı - küratör. Politecnico di Milano, mimarlık fakültesinden mezun oldu. École Nationale Supérieur d’Architecture’de yükseklisansını, Beaux-Arts Lyon’da sanat eğitimini tamamladı. Fransa’da “Maison des Artistes” üyesidir. Paris’te restore ettigi tarihi barı -yaşayan sanat alanı-na dönüştürerek efemer sergilerin küratörlüğünü yaptı. Akbank Sanat ve Acık Dialog tarafından düzenlenen “ Curating contemporary art “ formasyonunu “ Genius Loci - Juno “ isimli projesiyle tamamladı. Mimarlık yükseklisans tezi “Les nouveaux musées: vers un changement de paradigme” ( yeni müzeler: müzecilikte paradigma değişimi ); Centre Pompidou, Guggenheim Bilbao ve Fondazione Prada vaka analizleri üzerinden, sanat-mimari ve insan arasındaki ilişkiyi sorgulayarak 21 yy. müzelerine alternatif bir tanım getirmekte. Val Taleggio, Arles ve Lyon şehirleri için “cabinet of curiosities” niteliğinde; tarihi, sanatsal, kültürel, mimari mirası sergileyen sanat enstelasyonları gerçekleştirdi. Biyomimikri ve biyofili konularını çalışmalarına taşıyan Idil Kem, Milano design week’e konuşmacı olarak davet edildi. Wraclow mimarlık müzesinde, ütopistler, Rem Koolhaas, Superstudio, Paolo Soleri ile beraber sergilendi. Louvre müzesinde “Leonardo Da Vinci “ sergisi ve Christo - Jeanne Claude’un “ Arc de Triomphe Wrapped” sanat enstelasyonunda kültürel arabulucu olarak yer aldı. Paris Montessori anaokulunda davetli sanatçı olarak kültürel ve sanatsal çocuk atölyeleri düzenlenmekte. İdil Kem çalışmalarını Galerie Patricia Dorfmann’da bağımsız küratör ve senograf olarak sürdürmektedir.

Idil Kem, architect- artist - curator. Lives and works in Paris - Istanbul. She studied architecture at Politecnico di Milano, completed her master's degree at the École Nationale Supérieur d'Architecture and her fine arts studies at Beaux-Arts Lyon. She is a member of the "Maison des Artistes" in France. She curated ephemeral exhibitions in a historical bar where she restored in Paris and transformed into a living art space. She completed the "Curating contemporary art" formation organized by Akbank Sanat and Acik Dialog with the project "Genius Loci - Juno". Her architecture master thesis called “Les nouveaux musées: vers un changement de paradigm” (new museums: towards a paradigm shift ); brings an alternative definition to museums of 21st century, through the case studies of Centre Pompidou, Guggenheim Bilbao and Fondazione Prada, questioning the relationship between art-architecture and human. In Val Taleggio, Arles and Lyon; she realized cabinet of curiosities as site specific art installations displaying historical, artistic, cultural and architectural heritage. Idil Kem, who carries the topics of biomimicry and biophilia to her work, was invited to Milano Design Week as a speaker. Exhibited in the Wraclow architecture museum, together with the utopists such as Rem Koolhaas, Superstudio, Paolo Soleri. She took part as a cultural mediator at "Leonardo Da Vinci" exhibition at the Louvre and in Christo - Jeanne Claude's "Arc de Triomphe wrapped" art installation. As an Invited artist in Paris, she organizes cultural and artistic children's workshops at Montessori pre-school. İdil Kem continues her work as an independent curator and scenographer at Galerie Patricia Dorfmann.
