Bağımsız bir küratör, araştırmacı ve yazardır. Son dönemdeki araştırmalarında kültürel aidiyet ve dil sistemlerinin kesişimlerini araştırıyor. Naz şu anda Almanya, Leipzig’deki GfZK'da (Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst Leipzig) küratöryel bursiyer olarak çalışıyor ve Kasım 2024’te gerçekleşecek grup sergisinin hazırlıklarına devam ediyor. Yüksek lisans eğitiminde Türkiye'den SALT ve Hollanda, Roterdam'dan Kunstinstituut Melly'nin izleyici geliştirme uygulamalarına odaklandı. Ardından, Amsterdam merkezli sanat kurumu De Appel'in düzenlediği Küratöryel Program'ın 2019-2020 edisyonuna SAHA Derneği’nin desteğiyle katıldı. Son dönemdeki küratöryel projeleri arasında Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst'un desteğiyle üretilen yayın projesi “What are the words you do not have yet? ve Hollanda İstanbul Başkonsolosluğu tarafından desteklenen “Su Akar Dilini Bulur” (2022) karma sergisi yer alıyor. Aralarında Asociación de Arte Útil platformunun ortaklığıyla SALT ve 13. İstanbul Bienali’nin de olduğu çeşitli sanat galerileri ve kurumlarında sergi, yayın ve araştırma programlarının hayata geçirilmesinde görev aldı. Çeşitli yayınlarda yazar ve editör olarak katkılarının yanı sıra yazıları, Sanat Dünyamız ve Art Unlimited, Argonotlar, Borusan Contemporary Blog ve SALT Online Blog gibi çevrimiçi ve basılı yayında yer aldı.

Naz Kocadere Ulu is an independent curator, researcher and writer. Recently, in her research she explores the intersections of cultural belonging and language systems. Currently, Naz is the curatorial fellow at GfZK (Galerie für Zeitgenössische Kunst Leipzig) in Leipzig, Germany and is working towards a group exhibition due to open in early November 2024. Naz received her master thesis with a focus on the audience development implementations of SALT from Istanbul, Turkey and Kunstinstituut Melly from Rotterdam, the Netherlands. She attended the Curatorial Program at de Appel Amsterdam with SAHA Association’s support.

Her recent projects include a multifaceted publication supported by Amsterdams Fonds voor de Kunst (2023), and a group exhibition supported by the Consulate General of the Netherlands in Istanbul (2022). Naz worked towards the fruition of exhibition, publication and research programs that took place in various art galleries and institutions including SALT in collaboration with Asociación de Arte Útil platform and the 13th Istanbul Biennial. Alongside contributing as a writer and editor in various publications, her writings appeared in Sanat Dünyamız, Argonotlar and SALT Online Blog.
